Palutena and Bayonetta stood tall; ready to face the oncoming storm. Of course they weren’t the only ones who were ready for a fight. “Don’t worry, Lady Palutena! Miss Bayonetta! I’ll protect you with my life!” exclaimed the angel child, a look of determination on his face. The two women had to keep the looks of amusement off their faces. If anything, they would be the ones protecting the child since they were the only ones equal in power to the threat heading their way. Speaking of which, they could sense him coming near. Looking towards the distance, they saw a black-dressed figure coming closer. “Are you ready, Bayonetta?” asked Palutena, glancing towards her dark counterpart. “Do you even need to ask, goddess?” replied Bayonetta, giving her light counterpart a smug smirk. The green-haired woman just rolled her eyes as she gripped her staff tightly and Bayonetta readied her guns. As the figure came into sight, Pit had tensed up. Not from the malicious energy the figure

A Fleeting Memory of Heroism
When Tifa opened her eyes, the world had gone sideways. What? Her vision was spotty, and her lungs burned at every breath. A rock dug into her jaw, another one against her stomach. She tried raise her head, tried to push herself up, but she barely got her fingers to twitch. Where… am I? Why can’t I move? Tifa wasn’t alone. Someone else was laying there, justbeyond her reach. They were nothing but a shadow on the ground. Who’s that? For a moment, her eyes focused, and she saw him. He was laying on his back, lifeless as a rag doll, his body strewn on the ground. His head turned away from her, but she saw his hair. His blond, spiky hair. Cloud? And then, it came back to her in a flash. She had been trying to cross the bridge, but then her foot slipped. She fell. Someone had shouted her name. And then he grabbed her, wrapped his arms around her… “Cloud!” Her voice came out in a weak croak. There was blood underneath him. He was so still. Why? What was he even doing
They called us crazy, running off to Costa del Sol in the middle of fall. Yeah, it’s not at its sunniest and there isn’t much going on, but the crowds are non-existent, a school of dolphins keep hanging around the beach, and the locals have a habit of lighting bonfires in the middle of the night. I’m glad we came here. I am so glad Tifa and I decided to come here. Golden Saucer had sounded fun and all, but that place is way too glitzy for peace and quiet. Skying in Icicle Inn was on the table too, but Tifa wasn’t in the mood for cold weather. And Wutai… well, Wutai… “I don’t get it,” Yuffie complained. “It’s not like you’re going on a honeymoon. Why don’t you just come my way? Haven’t you heard about Wutai in the fall? It’s gorgeous around here.” “As tempting as that is,” Tifa replied (with never-ending patience), “we’re supposed to be having some alone time. Having a friend pop in to visit kind of defeats the purpose, don’t you think?” “But Johnny lives in Costa del
Link held back a sigh of frustration as he kept walking. He wasn’t sure how exactly he got into this situation, but what he did know that he had no way of avoiding it.
“Niichan! Slow down! I’m not as fast as you!”
Link glanced back at the person following him. She was slightly younger than him and had the same blonde hair and blue eyes that he had, except her hair was tied up into two braids that framed the sides of her face. Her outfit was also similar to his own, but much more feminine and had a hood instead of a cap.
“I thought I told you not to follow me,” said Link as he gave the girl a narrowe

Born from the Shadows - Chapter III
This particular winter night was rather chilly, when Cloud sped through the gloomy city on his trusty motorcycle, nearing tonight's final destination. The road ahead of him illuminated by street lights, and the beclouded sky promised rain and obscured a full moon.
It was hours past sunset, and Cloud could barely wait to finish this last mission; all he could think of was a nice, hot shower to soothe his aching, frozen muscles, a bite to eat, and a good night's rest; anything to forget all about today's events. Yet, he could not stop thinking about Vincent's cryptic words. His tone had bothered him, as though the man had been hiding something

Samus was reading the next application to see who was next.
"Looks like we've got more third-party characters coming in."
"Really? Who?" questioned Link.
Samus grinned as she called in the next applicant. The door opened and in walked two people, both of which surprisingly had spiky hair and bright blue eyes. The taller one was wearing mostly black and his spiky hair was blond. Strapped to his back was a very large sword wrapped in bandages.
The younger one was wearing an outfit that was mostly black with bits of red and yellow and had brown hair. Another thing that set the boy apart from the man was whereas the man looked serious an

“Aren’t you glad I made you send in an application, Cloud?” asked the ruby-eyed woman with a smile.
The Chocobo head gave his childhood friend a deadpan look, which only made her smile widen in amusement. “Ecstatic, Tifa.”
“Oh don’t be such a party-pooper, Cloud. You know just as well as I do that you’ll love it here. Besides, look how excited Denzel is.”
The two adults turned to their adoptive son as he took in everything the Smash Mansion had to offer with wide eyes. The boy then turned to Cloud with a frown, causing both Cloud and Tifa to worry.
“Hey, Cloud?”
